Electrical Fault FInding, Inspection & Testing

If you are looking for a reliable and experienced team of electricians for your domestic installation or repair needs, look no further than our team of NICEIC-registered electricians. We are experts in all aspects of domestic electrical installation and repair, and we can guarantee a high-quality, safe and efficient service every time.

We undertake domestic electrical fault finding and periodic inspection and testing. This is also known as the Landlord’s Electrical Report or Electrical Installation Condition Report – EICR.

We can provide you with a detailed report of your electrical installation’s condition, highlighting any areas that may need attention.

This is particularly true for domestic installations, which are often used more heavily than commercial installations. Domestic electrical facilities should be inspected and tested every ten years to ensure they are safe to use.

If you are a landlord, it is your responsibility to ensure that the electrical installation in your property is safe. You can hire an electrician to inspect and test or use a specialist company like ours.

We offer a comprehensive domestic electrical installation and repair service, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need our help.

Our EICR periodic electrical inspection will:

  • Include an electrician to complete the inspection and testing and then record the results. This will ensure that the electrical installation is safe to be used until the next inspection. If any work is needed to make it safe, this will be carried out by the electrician.
  • Find any damage and wear and tear that might affect safety and report it.
  • Find any parts of the electrical installation circuit that do not meet the IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Locate the causes that may cause electric shocks and high temperatures
  • Provide an accurate and essential record of the installation when the inspection and for inspection testing in the future, a critical element to the report.

Notifiable Electric Work we Cover

Notifiable electrical work is called ‘Building Work’ under the Building Regulations. Any electrical installation or repair work carried out in your home must be notified to your local council.

Our team of NICEIC-registered electricians can undertake any domestic electrical installation or repair work, so you can be sure that the job will be done correctly and safely. We also offer a domestic testing and inspection service to ensure that your home’s electrical system is up to standard. And as a result, it will need to notify the Local Area Building Control or sign off by what is known as a registered electrician.

Notifying your local council or having the work carried out by a registered electrician is essential to ensure that your home’s electrical system meets the requirements of both the building and wiring regulations. Failure to do so could result in fines, which is where we can advise you.

Our registered electricians are electricians who have joined a recognised government-approved Part P scheme provider. This means we can sign off notifiable works without having to go through building control each time.
